Why My Clients Choose Natural Brows (and What That Really Means)

When most people think of microblading, they imagine bold, dark brows with harsh lines—the kind that scream “I’ve had something done.”

That’s exactly what puts so many people off.

But here’s the thing: microblading doesn’t have to look obvious.

At Nu by Gabriella, most of my clients come in saying the same thing:
“I don’t want to look fake. I just want something natural—like the brows I used to have.”

Why “Natural” Looks So Different on Everyone

“Natural” is personal. It doesn’t mean barely there. It means balanced.
For some of my clients, it’s a soft brow that brings back what they lost from overplucking.
For others, it’s gently filling in gaps that come with ageing or conditions like alopecia.
And for many, it’s about waking up with something that makes them feel a bit more like themselves.

My Signature Style: Hyper-Realistic Hair Strokes

I specialise in microblading that mimics your real hair—not tattooed blocks or solid fill.
Think:
✔️ Soft, feathered strokes
✔️ A shape that follows your natural bone structure
✔️ No guesswork—just bespoke design based on your face, not a trend

I combine techniques (like microblading or subtle shading) when needed, but only if it adds to the result—not because it’s trending on Instagram.

Why I Consult First, Always

I never rush clients into decisions. Some of my clients have been following me for months before booking—and that’s okay.
You deserve time to ask questions, to feel understood, and to know exactly what to expect before you commit.
And if you’re not ready yet, I’ll never pressure you.

What’s the Difference Between Microblading and Powder Brows?

If you’ve been doing some PMU research, you’ve probably seen terms like microblading, powder brows, or ombré shading thrown around—and let’s be honest, it can get confusing.

Here’s a simple breakdown:

Microblading

  • Done using a hand tool with tiny, ultra-fine blades

  • Creates individual hair-like strokes that mimic natural brow hairs

  • Soft, subtle, and very natural

Powder/Ombré Brows

  • Created with a machine using a gentle needle

  • Deposits pigment in tiny layers, building up a soft-shaded brow

  • Can look like a tinted makeup effect

  • Doesn’t mean bold or blocked—it can be soft, airy, and natural when done well

💡 Powder brows are often misunderstood as “slug brows” or super heavy. The truth? It’s all about technique. In the right hands, they can be whisper-soft and beautifully healed.
