FAQs — Your Questions Answered

Whether you're new to permanent makeup or exploring removal, you're in the right place. Here's everything you need to know before booking.

Microblading & Combination Brows

Q: What is microblading, and how is it different from other brow treatments?
A: Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique using a fine blade to mimic natural hair strokes. At Nu by Gabriella, I specialise in hyper-realistic results using advanced mapping, nano strokes, and soft shading—perfect for those wanting a subtle, natural look.

Q: How long does microblading last?
A: Results typically last 12–24 months, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. A colour boost is usually recommended around the 12–18 month mark to maintain shape and tone.

Q: Does it hurt?
A: Most clients describe the sensation as a light scratch. I use high-quality numbing cream to ensure you’re comfortable throughout.

Q: Will it suit my face? I’ve seen some scary brows…
A: I hear this all the time! I don’t follow trends or templates. Every brow is custom mapped to your facial structure for a result that enhances your natural beauty, not overpowers it.

Q: What’s the healing process like?
A: Expect some light scabbing and mild fading over the first 10–14 days. Full healing takes about 4–6 weeks, at which point we do your perfecting session (included in the price).

Lip Blush

Q: What is lip blush?
A: Lip blush is a semi-permanent tint that enhances the natural colour and shape of your lips. It’s perfect for pale lips, uneven lip borders, or those wanting to stop relying on lipstick daily.

Q: Will it look like lipstick or a harsh lip liner?
A: Not at all. My technique focuses on soft, blended colour—never harsh lines. It looks like a natural flush, just more defined and even.

Q: How long does lip blush last?
A: Typically 2–3 years, with fading over time. A refresh is recommended every 18–24 months depending on your lifestyle and skin type.

Q: Does it hurt?
A: There’s some mild discomfort, but I apply numbing agents and work gently to keep the experience as comfortable as possible. Most clients say it’s totally manageable.

Q: Can I still wear lipstick?
A: Yes! You’ll still be able to wear makeup over it once fully healed—but many clients find they don’t need to.

Laser Tattoo Removal (Brows & Body)

Q: Can you remove old or bad brow tattoos?
A: Yes! I specialise in safe, ethical removal using advanced dual-wavelength lasers (532 nm and 1064 nm) to lift pigment gently without damaging the skin. I also remove body tattoos.

Q: Do you use colour correction (like orange pigment)?
A: No—I believe in science-backed, safe removal. Colour-correcting with pigment often complicates future removal. I lift the original pigment gradually to protect your skin and leave you with a clean slate.

Q: How many sessions will I need?
A: It varies depending on the depth, pigment, and how the original tattoo was applied. On average, brow removal takes 3–8 sessions, spaced 6–8 weeks apart.

Q: Will the laser hurt or scar my skin?
A: The discomfort is quick and tolerable (like an elastic snap). My method focuses on low fluence, layered removal—which is much gentler and safer for the skin compared to high-power blasting.

Q: Can I re-do my brows after removal?
A: Absolutely! Once fully healed, we can rework your brows with a more natural, bespoke design. Many of my removal clients return for a fresh start with microblading.
